Sorry, it's been a while since I posted.
Anyway, just wanted to share this video.
I'm all for bravado and everything, but eventually behavior like this ends up being another data point for those who believe in Natural Selection.

Let me be the first to tell you....
There is a new X-prize being offered, this time for automotive fuel economy.
I will go on record right now to all of those hybridiots out there: THE WINNER WON'T BE A HYBRID.
It will most likely be a diesel. In fact, VW could get a cool $25 millon right now by putting 10,000 of these out on the market... seeing as they've already solved the problem.
You can sign me up right now for one of these.
Ahhh.... progress.

German Engineering in da house, ya?
If you haven't seen the new "Un-pimp your Auto" commercials from VW, you're missing out. Here are the links:
"You get an F!"
"Iz definitely suckin!"
"It looks like it could fly."
Oh, SNAP!
Marketing at its finest.

Brain Equity
As of last night, I finally own my college edumacation. I've always wondered how they were going to come get it if I stopped paying, but luckily I didn't have to find out.
It seems odd to think about, but college is the best investment I've ever made. I entered college making $4.25 / hr and left making almost $20 /hr. Whoa, I should have gone back to college so I could be making almost $80/hr! I'm so stupid for not figuring that out sooner!
Proud of my BS,
Ryan

You Think You're So Smart, Don't You?
But according to the latest study, you've only got an even chance of interpreting the sincerity or sarcasm of the title of this post. (click on the title of this post to see the article.)
Actually, if you know me, you could probably guess pretty easy that my tone was sarcastic. However that presents a problem for you when I decide to be serious. Notice how I pushed my problem off onto you, Einstein?
I can't believe you think I'm sarcastic all the time.

Bringin All the Boyz to the Yard
Have you ever dropped a gallon of milk from shoulder height at the checkout counter at the Walmarts? To save you the effort of empirically determining the outcome: It does NOT bounce. It ESS-Splodes. Seriously. It completely blows the cap off, and splits the sides. There is nothing retaining any milk... except the floor.
Cleanup on Aisle 7. Sorry Hilary.

Burrito Blowout
To the asswads at Taco Bell: If you are making my burrito, and you happen to wrap it so tightly that the burrito fixins explode out the side of the tortilla, STOP. Get me a new tortilla, (I don't even care if you transfer the fixins) and rewrap. Once the burrito innards start coming out the side, it ceases to be a burrito. It becomes: Mexican food like beans and meat and cheese loosely surrounded by a tortilla. I ordered a burrito... get it right.

Not Good for Much
So, as bloggers go, I'm not good for much. Lots of other bloggers post big long posts, with regular frequency, and at least some effort towards coherency.
I, however, am like the Dirac function of bloggers. You're just moving along the X axis, totally happy, with nothing really affecting you, and then BAM! A gigantic force of blogginess hits you all at once, and then its gone.
Which would be nice, if only it were true. Really, I'm more like the Spontaneous Human Combustion of bloggers. I'm rumored to exist, and would be fairly dramatic if I ever were to occur, but noone has actually witnessed me doing anything meaningful.
Simple thoughts, simply explained. That's all I got. Sorry.
Up in Smoke,
Ryan

New Camera
My parents (the coolest people ever) got me a new camera for Christmas/my Birthday. It's a Canon Digital Rebel XT I really, really, really like it. Here is one of the pictures I took recently. It's proof that about 90% of photography is being in the right place at the right time.

Anyway, I hope you like it as much as I did. I'm thinking about having it printed BIG at shutterfly. We'll see.
For all you photo buffs out there, this is the Canon 28-105 USM II lens at 28 mm with an aperature of 7.1 and a shutter speed of 1/125, ISO 100.
I'm guessing you'll start seeing more photos here!
